Crossing the finish line

Only ten hours left until we cross the finish line and submit our solution for the Health 2.0/Practice Fusion Real Time Patient Data Challenge.

We have accomplished more than originally planned and are very excited.

Normally most team members work from home but this week the entire team has been in the office. This makes for a  heavily caffeinated and high energy environment. Pretty sure we are going with Costco sandwich and veggie trays tonight as the team might be getting tired of pizza, M&Ms and soda.

Do developers ever really get sick of pizza ?

 : o )

I am sure everyone would love to have the day off tomorrow but we must push on towards the next version of our solution which will include connectivity to Dossia and Google Health. Yes HealthVault connectivity and integration is part of our H20 Dev Challenge submission but the way we have done it is VERY unique.

Did I mention Window Phone 7? More on that next week...

Next week we will blog about our entire solution, the people that contributed, and more.

When the H20 Dev Challenge is over we look forward to discussing partner opportunities with some of our challenge competitors. It seems there is a lot of complimentary technology that could be integrated or connected that would provide better managed health experiences and outcomes for patients.

Thanks again to Matthew, Indu, Lizzie, Ryan, Emily and the rest of the Practice Fusion team for making this happen.

Practice Fusion API and integration

The Fusionator team is very pleased with this first API from Practice Fusion and the things we have been able to accomplish.

A couple of POC ideas we tried have been very successful and progress will really accelerate this week.

So wish I could share what we are doing but do not want to give away our competitive advantage.

I hope that all other teams find this opportunity as exciting as we do.

Regards,

Frank

What is the Fusionators API solution?

Many people are asking us about the Fusionators plan for the Practice Fusion Real-Time Patient-Driven Data Challenge.
The Fusionator team is primarily staffed by employees of HealthSaaS. HealthSaaS builds SaaS driven disease and condition specific PHRs. So...we are obviously working on integrating PHR technology into Practice Fusion. The details of what we are doing and how we are doing it will remain a secret until we make our submission. Some of the IP we are developing is going into the next version of our framework and we do not want to expose this to industry or API competitors as this is not sound business practice.
After all this is a competition and being a former athlete and Marine the exposing of  our game plan and battle strategy is not condusive to winning.
HealthSaaS does have a partner driven model and we welcome complimentary technology partners to contact us to discuss integration or connectivity solutions.
Best of luck to all competitors and big THANKS to Emily of Practice Fusion and Lizzie of Health 2.0 for all of their hard work and assistance.

Health 2.0 Real-Time Patient-Driven Data Challenge

The HealthSaaS Fusionator team will make weekly blog posts sharing the unique challenges, challengers, highs and lows of this innovative competition.

This competition will bring developers together to work with a common API and create integrated solutions that can help improve patient outcomes, enhance provider efficiencies and lower costs for all.

We have already met several great developers that have signed up for the challenge. We look forward to working with a few of them to round out our team and add more robust solution integration capabilities.

Thanks to Aneesh Chopra, Indu Subaiya, Matthew Holt and the Practice Fusion team for their leadership and vision.
